Light-Legged Horses

ENTRIES FOR THIS EVENT HAVE NOW CLOSED

Light-Legged Horses and Ponies

Entry fee is £12 for non-members of the Angus Agricultural Association or £7 for members. Entries must be received prior to Friday 20th May 2022. No late entries will be accepted. Each competitor will be charged £2.00 for first aid provision.

Please fill in the enclosed entry and return to the Secretary.

All classes will be further divided if there are sufficient entries, with the exception of qualifier classes. 1st & 2nd placed horse/ponies should come forward for their championship at the end of their section.

All Champions and Reserves from each section should come forward to the overall Supreme Championship, The Stansfeld Challenge Cup, with the EXCEPTION OF WORKING HUNTER PONIES, WORKING HUNTER HORSES AND LOCAL CLASSES.

PRIZE MONEY: First – £15.00; Second – £11.00; Third – £9.00; Fourth – £6.00 (ten and over); Fifth – £4.00 (twelve and over) Rosettes will be awarded 1st-6th place.

While every effort will be made to announce classes, the show will not be held responsible for anyone missing their class. The onus is on the exhibitor to ensure they are forward in sufficient time. If an exhibitor enters more than one class with the same horse, it is possible that classes may be judged at the same time, in which case the exhibitor must choose which class to enter.

Please note: judges will have a lunch break at some point, please check with the stewards.

WORKING HUNTER HORSES (Ring 5)

To commence following WHP Championship

Horses must be 15hh or over, 4 years old and over. Rider must be 18 or over to compete at final. either rider or owner of horse must be member of BHs.

Course: 8-12 fences of approx. 3ft 6, judged in line with sports Horse GB rules.

Qualifying: The first three partnerships will qualify even if they have not jumped clear. If one of these has already qualified, their qualification may be handed down to the fourth placed horse and rider provided they had a clear round in the jumping.
